(StraightNews.org) – The White House has confirmed President Biden’s next physical exam will not include cognitive testing. Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at a recent press event that the President’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, does not believe such testing is warranted. She claimed that O’Connor described Biden as proving every day that his mental acuity is not impaired.
Journalists pressured Jean-Pierre throughout the press conference about the Special Counsel report published by Robert Hur, the attorney who investigated President Biden for his handling of classified documents after several were found at his former University of Pennsylvania office and his Delaware garage last year. Mr. Hur concluded that he would not bring charges against the President because the jury would likely see him as a well-meaning old man with a fading memory.
Republicans were furious at the findings, and Donald Trump asked how a man who is not fit to be charged with a criminal offense is capable of leading the United States of America.
Democrats, including Karine Jean-Pierre, have since rallied around and defended Biden’s capabilities. Vice President Kamala Harris said the remarks by Robert Hur were “inappropriate” and “politically motivated” and assured the American people that the President is sharp.
Nonetheless, Hur’s stinging report will likely be a blow to Biden’s upcoming re-election campaign as it described him as “hazy,” “fuzzy,” and having “significant limitations.” It said the President could not recall significant moments in his personal life, including the death of his son.
An angry President Biden told reporters that his memory was “fine,” and referring to his son’s death, said, “How in the hell dare he raise that?”
Biden’s Presidency has been plagued by claims that the 81-year-old is not mentally acute enough to hold such high office. He has confused the names of world leaders and recently described having a conversation with former French President Francois Mitterrand, who has been dead for over a decade. The President was actually speaking to current French leader Emmanuel Macron.
