Doctor’s Hidden Camera Scheme

Aejaz, who has held medical privileges at multiple hospitals, allegedly used hidden cameras to secretly record women and children. The recordings happened in hospitals, changing rooms, closets, bathrooms, bedrooms, and even a local swim club.

Authorities charged Aejaz with 10 counts, including sexual abuse of a child, creating child sexual abuse material, and capturing or recording individuals while nude. His bond is set at $2 million as the investigation continues.

Sheriff Michael Bouchard described the case as one of the most disturbing in his career. The extensive evidence could take up to six months to review. The investigation could potentially expand beyond Genesee and Macomb counties to other states and possibly other countries.

Community and Hospital Response

Aejaz’s crimes are reminiscent of the case involving disgraced sports doctor Larry Nassar. Michigan residents are grappling with the revelations and their implications. The number of victims remains unknown due to the sheer volume of potential victims.

“It’s a complete violation,” said Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald. “It’s terrifying as a mother and we’re going to do everything we can to hold him accountable.” – Source

Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and Ascension Genesys Hospital, where Aejaz had privileges, are cooperating with authorities. Both hospitals have taken immediate action to prevent Aejaz from practicing at their facilities.
