Missing Woman’s Body Found In Estranged Husband’s Storage Unit

(StraightNews.org) – A woman reported missing in Florida has been found dead in her estranged husband’s storage facility. Shakeira Rucker was last seen on November 11 with her husband Cory Hill, who has since been arrested by Orange County Sheriff John Mina and is held in Orange County jail without bond.

Rucker’s mother reported her missing on November 11, and her body was discovered in a storage unit in Apopka, a small city near Orlando, a week later. Authorities were alerted when workers at the facility noticed “a smell emanating from one of the storage units.” Detectives found the body of a woman, who had apparently died from a gunshot to the head, inside the unit.

Sheriff John Mina told reporters that Cory Hill is their only suspect. “We’re not looking for anyone else, he will be charged with the murder, eventually, in this case,” he said.

Hill’s ex-girlfriend Angel Milligan extraordinarily told police that he had tried to shoot her on the same day. “I heard gunfire. I felt two of them pass by my face,” she told officers. Hill was detained the following day and was in detention on suspicion of attempted murder when Shakeira’s body was discovered; he has refused to discuss either incident with officers.

It is not the first time Hill has been implicated in a killing. In 1993, he was sentenced to 20 years on second-degree murder charges, but Rucker’s family says she knew nothing about this. Relative Dedra Rucker said, “He had like a history we never knew. He was supposed to be a man of God in the church. We never knew.”

Shakeira Rucker was the mother of four children, including 16-year-old Mikayla Johnson who told Fox News in Orlando that she feels lost without her. “I just want my mom to come back. It’s hard, her not being here, because I’m always with her. It’s like I can’t live without her. She’s all I know,” the teenager said.
